The Clever Crow and the Fox
One day, a crow was sitting on the branch of a tree with a piece of meat in its beak. A hungry fox was passing under the tree. He saw the meat and his mouth watered. He desperately wanted to steal the meat. The cunning fox hatched a plan and began to flatter the crow. He praised the crow's beautiful voice and requested him to sing a sweet song. But this crow was very smart and understood the trick. Before opening its beak, the crow took the piece of meat and kept it firmly under its feet. Then it started to caw loudly. Realizing that he was fooled, the disappointed fox left the place quietly.
Moral: Flattery cannot fool a clever mind.
